It IS NOT A DATING BOOK!The book is more like an answer for allot of stereotypes or question gazing at women's brains about men, relationships, sex and marriage.1-Are men marriage/commitment Phobic?2-Do men have feelings just like women?3-Are men petrified of strong/well educated women?4-are men controlled with their male organ?nice book about relationships written by average men since the writer get all her answers from average men through a survey.

I am super excited to read this! I met Amber in Atlanta as she was surveying a bunch of different guys from all ages and backgrounds for research for this book!!

Possibly the worst book I can remember reading. I did not finish it because I was scared I would start to cut myself as a means to alleviate angst. I have a feeling the survey was cherry picked, and some of her explanations are way out there. For example, the reason guys like to discuss how hot the last girl they saw is to prove to each other they are not gay WTF?? Reading this I felt as if the author simply could not accept men for what we are and so tried cramming us into simple little structu [...]

This was my first time reading a book on dating, and I must say it was an interesting (and entertaining!) read. Amber Madison's writing is very conversational, perhaps because she is used to speaking and holding the attention of audiences. She shares data and anecdotes seemlessly blended to argue her point. She uses profanity at times (in case that wasn't obvious from the title), but it comes off as very humorous. The funny thing about this, though, was that the information that took me most by [...]

This book offers a lot of insight into the typical male. It begs the question, "Are All Guys Assholes" and even though this book illustrates that 99% or so of men want relationships, the answer to the question seems to ber the most part, yes they are. It does highlight what the reasons are for certain situations and of course the findings are open to interpretation but I digress, I am glad I don't date men that seem to be in this situation. What is expressly pointed out in this book is that men [...]

This was a well-written book, with some really interesting premises. I'm not sure I entirely agree with the math and the statistics, but let's face it, women read these kinds of self-help books not because they really want to know if all men are assholes, but because they want to know if ONE man is an asshole; unfortunately, he is the only one who can tell you that, so ultimately, you will be disappointed. It probably deserves a better rating, but I still don't have all the answers, so I can't f [...]

The author interviewed more than 1000 men to figure out what they want as far as relationships with women. She discovered that the "All Men Are Pigs" thing is actually a myth of masculinity that our culture promotes, but in fact most men want the same things out of women that women want out of men; stable, long-term, loving relationships that help them grow and thrive as people. Written from a gender-egalitarian viewpoint.

Funny. Witty. The results of her study are definitely questionable considering that she admitted to committing errors, but the wit, sarcasm, and common sense dating tips of the book outweighed the actual study.

Are all guys assholes? Yes and No. Some act like it but aren't and some are really good at hiding it until it's too late. I just wish they would be who they really are all of the time not just sometimes.

    10. Leah

Turns out only 16% are true assholes! Actually a lot of good, research-backed advice for girls to keep it real with the men in their lives.
