Annother Fern Michaels winner!Lizzie Fox, high-powered attorney is ready to do what she can (with the help of the vigilantes) to help Rachel and Thomas Dawson. The Dawson's have been trying in vain to get pregnant, and finally decided on adoption. With the help of lawyer, Baron Bell and a large six-figure fee, he has found a set of twins for the Dawsons. The money is no object when they look into their children's newborn eyes. But now the Birth Mother has come into the picture and demands from t [...]

She's just the best! I enjoyed the fact that she didn't go back and explain things from previous books in this series. Newbies might not understand, for example, the significance of the "red bag" or who Barbara was and why she, "appeared" to Myra, etc. not having read about it in the past.but I loved not wasting my time with suff I already knew! You need to read this series in order.

Sixteenth in the Sisterhood vengeance-suspense series about a group of women who bring justice to those the law leaves behind. My Take Again. I like Michaels' premise. I hate her execution. It's a train wreck ya just can't resist watching and this installment is no exception. It's almost embarrassing to read some of the exchanges the characters have with each other. It's kind of like they're on speed and they've condensed their thought processes into short choppy sentences that just don't connec [...]

The books in this series have sure varied for me in terms of number of stars. I liked this one best of all because it was more of a fun, entertaining read without so many stomach turning scenes of torture. Still very light and with an incredible, silly plot but a quick, cozy, rainy day read.

  5. Catherine

Slow starting, but once I got into the story I had to finish it in one day. Love it when those who are evil pays for their crime. Love all the Sisterhood books.

  6. Terrie

You gotta love a group of Vigilante Women who exact revenge on a couple of attorney's operating a kidnapping scheme. Great light read!

  7. Amy

couldnt read it fast enough. this book was just as good as all the others. her books always seem to get better with each one she writes.

I really enjoyed this book. I've read previous books in this series and I'm glad I picked this one up. I had to lay off the series for a while because I was starting to see the repetitiveness. I can't say the same about this book though. The plot in this book held my attention from the very beginning and I' glad. It kept me glued to the book where I did not want to put it down. The "vengeance" that the vigilantes are seeking in this book have to do with a baby selling ring involving lawyers and [...]

I did not realize until I had started this book that it was #16 in a series. Having not read the previous 15 books in this series there were several times that I was totally clueless as to what they were talking about. Although this book was ok for a an easy reading book it was not good enough to go back and read the previous 15 books in this series. I have read several Fern Michaels books in the past and liked them but I think I might skip the other books in this series.

I liked this one a lot. The girls were together throughout, and that dynamic is anyways better in this series. There was also quite a bit of comedy here, and that added a fun element. It ended rather abruptly though, and that's my only criticism. But the next one picks up right where this one left off, so its okay.

The Sisterhood strikes again with all their pals in tandem. I enjoyed this tale as they let Madam President know they are not patient about the pardon they were promised. I haven't gotten bored with these outlandish stories and look forward to more.

  12. Traci Shipley

I don't know why I tried another book in this series. I didn't like the last one and this one was worse. Tar and feather a person as vengeance?!? Seriously!?

  13. Lyn Soulia smith

This was a great book, it is centered around the winter holidays and the topic of their revenge for this period was pretty great. I am waiting for the next to come. Hope they don't stop.

  14. Carol Holcomb

It is good to see the Fern Michaels humor in this book, missed that in the early part of this series.

  15. Linda Walters

I really liked this one better than the last one. Good plot, the "gang" is all there again too. Lots of twists, turns and things that can go wrong and do. Add in a wild shift in the weather, which hinder movement and communications and you see problems add up. Although this could be a stand alone book, I think its better for the reader to have read the earlier books and get connected with some of the characters. The Vigilantes are also getting restless about the promised pardons from Madame Pres [...]

Hands down one of the worst books I've ever read. I can't believe how bad this book was. Okay, so halfway through the book I realized that the reason I had absolutely no idea what was going on was because this book is one of a series. Still - I am a firm believer that writers should write every book, including subsequent ones in a series, for a new reader. Ms. Michaels obviously didn't want to do this. So now new readers like me have to deal with the main storyline being buried in a confused mes [...]

This is a book in the Sisterhood series, which I did not realize when I started it. I really think you need to read the others first, for the background info. Without having done so, there was quite a bit that I had no reference for and didn't seem to mean much. Really couldn't get invested in the storyline or characters, but I don't see that as completely the fault of the author, more my own for not having read the others in the series first. That said, I'm not sure if I will, I'm not sure I re [...]

Jumping into the sixteenth installment of this series without reading the first fifteen showed to be a big mistake. Perhaps with more background this book might have been a better feel. However, as a stand alone well, I didn't care for it. The story a couple having fertility problems gets a surrogate, gets twins, surrogate wants babies back, lawyer turns out to be a crook, so what now? Well, the 'Sisterhood' to the rescue of course and that's pretty much where it went wrong. The vigilante-cat [...]

After years of trying to become pregnant without success, Rachel Dawson and her husband Thomas felt their dreams head finally come true the day they brought home their newly adopted twin babies. This was until the birth mother reappeared. Baron Bell was the high-priced lawyer who arranged for the adoption. Suddenly this high-priced lawyer was nowhere to be found, and the Dawson's we're once again childless, heartbroken and nearly destitute. When the case finds it's way to the offices of high-prof [...]

And surrounding areas with snow. Runnying against the clock and the weather the Vigilantes are working thier magic to reunited the babies to the rightful parents for Christmas.A whole lot of fun and amusment to be had in this novel. A fitting punishment that is not soon forgotten. Plus a get away that leaves the secret service stunne [...]

Charles is back Yea Not sure when,I must have missed a book. This series is REALLY hard to keep track of. First books when they did the Original Characters quests we're fantastic. Series seems to have lost something when they split it up and was almost disappointed in the ones without Charles. He was the backbone/"Connection" for the ops, when they could do all the Intelligence work without him, it diminished his character. Still good books just not as good as they used to was.Baby Selling Rin [...]

I've read quite of few of the Sisterhood books and I keep hoping I'll change my mind. The real question for me that is raised in the books by the Sisterhood, women who extract vengeance when they determine justice needs to be served, is: does the end justify the means. Yes, the books are fiction and I should read them as such. However, this group of talented, skilled, organized women extract a pound of flesh when they feel it's right to do so. I continue to have a difficult time reading about th [...]

  23. Brenda Benoit

Thankfully this book finally spent more than a couple pages on the actual punishment rather than devoting the whole book building up to it with the punishment letdown. I did have trouble following this one though as it seemed to jump all over the place and I felt like I missed out on a few pages somewhere. The constant bickering between Jack and Harry is really getting old and very childish - sometimes I wish they would just stay away from each other to give us a break. All in all it was a good [...]

In Fern Michaels's Deadly Deals, the 16th installment in the Sisterhood Vigilante series, this one dealt with black market adoption real well. For Rachel and Thomas Dawson, their dream came true when they brought home twins from a surrogate mother for a hefty fee from Baron Bell, their lawyer. That's when the birth mother appeared and demanded more money and their twins disappeared. Brokenhearted, they've taken this case to Lizzie Fox who required the assistance of her Sisterhood friends to righ [...]

I didn't realize I was listening to a book late in a series. Consequently I had not idea who all of these characters were and how they were connected. The premise of the novel, ad adoption gone bad, got lost in all of the flurry of so many characters and what they could do. Everything that happened was so far fetched as to be totally unbelievable. I was very disappointed as I have read other Fern Michaels books and thoroughly enjoyed them. The narrator left a lot to be disired as well. Her attem [...]

okay, this book was terrible. i've read a lot of her past books in this series, but still got lost in all of the referencesi felt like i was attending a party with mean people that were telling jokes that i didn't geti wouldn't recommend this to anyone, and i doubt that i will pick up another fern michaels book again.

  27. Suzanne

I'm done with this series. It jumped the shark long ago, and I gave it a few books to redeem itself, but this is POOR writing. Stupid coincidences. No focus on the MISSION and lots of pages of men "taunting" each other over comforter choices. Ridiculous. Write something decent or cede the field to someone who still has some mojo.

  28. Nikki

The Sisterhood series continues. I think I enjoyed this one a little bit more than the others as it had a Christmas theme. I also feel like there are little hints that the series just might be wrapping up in the next book or two - unless it's just wishful thinking on my part. I can't believe this is the 16th book in the series.

  29. Candy

I like this series with a few exceptionsThe story is good, I just feel like sometimes the writing is a bit too " young adult" feeling. I mean grown women throwing their fists in the air, taking a vote and they raise their hands instead of saying "I". It is sooo junior high school. These are mature women. Kinda weird. Even the men act like teens.
